The Undercover Story:

Undercover Industries was born out of the need to create outdoor rooms that enhance your living experience, while allowing you to entertain all year around, protecting your family and assets, with 99.9% UV protection. When Undercover Industries opened in 2015, they wanted to create a unique individually designed outdoor living spaces that complimented individual’s houses, as no two homes are the same. Living in beautiful Tauranga meant that material selection was key for providing high quality, durable and attractive outdoor covered solutions.

Bossman

Shay is the owner of Undercover Industries. A designer by trade – Shay designs, models and quotes your Undercover outdoor masterpiece. Shay also oversees all business activities, management and operations and is proud of his well experienced and talented team.

Ben

Operations Manager

Ben joined the Undercover team in 2021 to step into the role as operations manager.
A mount local Ben has built a strong local level of industry knowledge and working relationships, within the local fabrication and building sector over the past 15 years.
Ben’s working day encompasses work scheduling, staff and project co-ordination, logistics and problem solving, to ensure the day to day operations of the business run smoothly, ensuring the delivery of top grade materials, job scheduling and final output leads to nothing but perfection. Ben is often the friendly face you see in the showroom, working alongside Shay, Bronwen and the Undercover team.

Bronwen

Office Manager

Bronwen is the friendly face when you walk into the undercover showroom and the friendly’s voice at the end of every phone call. Bronwen ensures the Undercover operations runs smoothly, carrying out all client interactions, account receivable and payable and jobbing administration duties. Bronwen is a wealth of knowledge and our office and admin superstar.

Mitch

Fabricator/Welder/Designer

The Undercover product range is all about precision and the detail. Mitch is the master welder and skilled CAD designer who works alongside Shay to ensure every product is cut, welded, and fabricated to precision. Mitch has 11 years of trained experience and strives for precision and perfection at every job, ensure nothing but top-quality products are designed, manufactured and installed.

gee

Fabricator/Installer

It would be rude to say how long Gee has been installing aluminium products but let’s just say its been a loooong time. Our friendly Scotsman is super methodical and takes pride in all his work. An eye for detail, you will find Gee cutting, levelling, and finishing his products to perfection.

JARED

Fabricator/Welder/Installer

With an installation background Jared has spent the last four years perfecting his craft as a welder. It turns out his composed character delivers the perfect amount of patience required for beautiful TIG aluminium welds. Jared is also our early bird, often in the shop welding before the sun gets up. Jared works hard to make sure all our custom fabrication is done on time.

FORREST

Fabricator/Welder/Installer

The newest member of the team and often referred to as the young fella. Doesn’t say much for the rest of us because Forrest isn’t even young. Forrest has been learning the trade and is already a skilled welder. His curious nature is great for learning, and he is quickly becoming a Jack of all trades.
